A great turnout at the AGM this year for an interesting and informative evening hosted by the Management Committee.

The Lindfield Society Management Committee(l to r): John Dawson, Maxine Tyler, Mary Collins, Richard Tibbot, Caroline Foster, Ian Dumbrell, John Comstock, Julia Dawson, Geoff Heath
The evening saw presentations from the team on the successes of the last 12 months, votes on the committee positions and officers for the upcoming year plus agreement on the financial position of the Society at the end of 2025 led by John Comstock.

New member to the team, Richard Tibbott distilled 65 years of the Lindfield Society’s work and outlined the strategy and direction that the the Society will have moving forward centred on the Love Lindfield theme – encouraging and celebrating all that is good about village life.
Maxine Tyler presented Design Awards on behalf of the Society to this year’s winners for sympathetic design work at Humphries Bakery, 12 Backwoods Lane and 29 West Common

Andy Bliss joined us to give a very interesting insight into some of the rich history of village houses, and also to update us on the work of the Lindfield Historical Society uncovering some of our local historical treasures including WWII infrastructure and possibly something much, much older…..
The evening ended with a Lindfield Village quiz led by Mary Collins. Lots of tough questions on the history of Lindfield left lots of our members scratching their heads but also uncovered some absolute experts!
Geoff Heath gave us some parting words of thanks and some forward-looking comments on 2026.
Our members stayed to celebrate the year with the Committee sharing in the contents of some of John Comstock’s famous wine cellar. thanks you John!
